We are so excited to start the new school year and wanted to reach out to you with some upcoming events and reminders!

First, thank you so much to those of you who have already joined the PTA for the 2024-2025 school year! Are you still unsure about what the PTA does? Your $10 Membership helps provide a variety of events, activities and programs for ALL CP students, faculty and staff ALL YEAR LONG! For more info or to join, find us at Tuesday morning's Boohoo Yahoo breakfast, on September 3, 2024 from 8am to 10:30am in the commons. Or, please look for our PTA booth at the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade open houses next week! (We'll be accepting cash or check). Of course, you can join online anytime at countryparkway.givebacks.com/store.

Speaking of volunteer opportunities, did you know that parents help our Kindergarteners get on the bus the first week of school? For only about 30 minutes of your day, you can help some of our youngest students have a smooth transition at the end of the day. Parents must report at 2:40pm to the main office and assist classroom teachers until the end of bus dismissal. Please sign up for any dates you are able to volunteer. Thank you so much in advance for helping our newest Country Parkway students have a happy and stress-free dismissal! We promise: it's fun and rewarding! Sign up to be a bus helper here!

We also need Lunchroom volunteers all year long and are currently signing up volunteers for the month of September! You can sign up for one or several lunchtimes depending on your schedule or your child(ren)'s grades. For more information and sign up links, please go to our lunchroom page on the website.

Do you want to make sure your child never misses a playdate or birthday party, even for friends outside their classroom? Then please register for the CP Student Directory! The directory is separate from the lists your Room Parent may use and allows you to get in touch with guardians of children in other classrooms. It is an opt-in only directory and is completely optional. Please also note that the directory can be viewed only by those registered for and logged into the PTA website. The directory is prepared by the CP PTA Board and is intended ONLY for the private use of Country Parkway families. Information provided in the directory is not for sale and may not be shared in ANY form with third parties. Use of the directory for sales promotions or solicitation is prohibited.

We also want you to SAVE THE DATE for our Ice Cream Social and Book Fair on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5pm to 7:30pm! Get ready to kick off the school year with some new books and cool treats! Of course, last but not least, we would LOVE to see you at our first General PTA Meeting on September 18, 2024 at 6:30pm in the Commons! We will have a fun and free Karate class for kids ages 4 and up, thanks to the Training Edge! Can't make it in person? No problem! Just join us on Zoom!
